What is Predator Post Processor?
Predator Post Processor software is designed to translate generic CAM toolpaths into the specific G-code to maximize the productivity of your CNC machine. In addition, it will provide error checking, optimize performance and eliminate manual edits ensuring a consistent, safe and efficient production for different machine makes, models and shop standards.

Predator Post Processor™ supports all standard and complex 2 to 5 axis machine configurations. Hybrid machines are also supported. For example, 3D printing and CNC milling. Complex 4 and 5 axis rotary head and rotary table configurations are supported. Standard machining cycles are all supported. Advanced cycles include subs, macros and variables is all supported.
3D Printing
Predator Post Processor support 3D printing verification and simulation from G code. Support structure printing is also supported with the option to enable or disable the display. Support for 4 and 5 axis 3D printing is also available. Multiple nozzles and multiple colors are supported. Hybrid 3D printing/CNC style machines with support for secondary CNC operations.
3 Axis and 3+2 Mold and Die Machining
Predator Post Processor is optimized for 3-axis surface machining and can support huge files without running out of memory. Processing speeds can be up to 3,000 blocks per second, while retaining the accuracy that you require. Complete 3+2 support is also available within Predator Post Processor 5 Axis.
Complex 4 and 5 Axis Machining
Full support for simultaneous 4 and 5 axis machining on mills and mill/turn machines. Optionally define your entire machine for full collision detection of any moving part. Support for rotary heads, rotary tables, nutated heads, nutated tables and multiple spindles are all supported.
2, 3, 4 & 5 Axis Lathes and Mill/Turn Machines
Predator Post Processor™ supports 2, 3, 4 & 5 axis turning and complex Mill/Turn machines with live C and Y axis motion. User definable machine tool configurations combined with our comprehensive library of post processors allows standard HTLs and VTLs to be supported. Main and sub spindles, live tooling support and barfeeder operation is simulated and supported. Standard lathe facing, turning, threading, grooving, roughing and drilling cycles are all supported.
NOTE: Predator Post Processor™ does not support synchronized twin turrets, pinch turning and swiss style turning.
Configurable CNC Post Templates
Predator Post Processor leverages easy to customize text based CNC templates for machine specific configuration. Sample CNC post templates are provided to process a wide range of G & M codes from major CNC machine builders to get you started. Detailed PDF reference manual document all of the options available. Specific posts for each of your CNC machines can also be purchased.
APTCL, Mastercam and SURFCAM Toolpath Support
Predator Post Processor support's reading and writing of 2-5 Axis APTCL, Mastercam NCI toolpath files and 2-5 Axis SURFCAM INC toolpath files. Support includes milling, turning and mill/turn NCI and INC toolpaths.
Integration with other Predator applications
Optionally integrate Predator Post Processor with Predator DNC, PDM or Virtual CNC to create a fully integrated ecosystem to empower your CNC programmers, CNC machines and shop floor personnel.
Subroutine processing
Interactive subroutine processing from single part CAM toolpaths significantly simplifies CNC programming efforts.
